I have lived in Montana my entire life, and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Growing up in north central Montana, I have always been inspired to paint our surrounding landscapes and native wildlife. I earned a degree in art from Montana State University in Bozeman and later a MA in guidance and counseling. After years in the education field, I am excited to be able to now focus primarily on my painting.
My oil paintings are painterly, vibrant interpretations of Montana landscapes and wildlife. I strive to create landscape paintings that are striking, ethereal representations of our scenic Montana. In each of my wildlife paintings, special attention is given to the eyes as I try to capture the perceived expression of the subject. I especially enjoy painting the animals I see around our home which overlooks the beautiful Helena, Montana valley.
